OK JamMob folks. My situation is a little more complicated I think, than what is covered in this video...I put together an album that has a total of 10 songs on it. Two songs were written by my brother Mikey and I (sadly, Mikey passed away a few years ago, but his wife is living, so if anything happened to where these songs were released and the public took to them at any level, I would want her to receive what Mikey would have realized by being a co writer), one song is written by a friend of mine,Danny, who is fine with that song being on the album, another is one Danny and I collaborated on, another is written by my oldest brother, Rae, who is living, but haven't asked him if it is ok if I release the album with his song on it (I'll put this in here as to clarify: all the music, like guitar, bass, keys, vocals, etc. were performed by me, with the exception of a harmonica part in one song, which was done by Danny, including my brother's song, which really is me doing a cover of his song), the rest of the songs on it were written by myself. The writing of these songs span over a 20 year period of time, and all the tracks on it are the original tracks, with enhancements multitracked into them to make the tracks glue together, if that makes any sense at all. At first, I considered it just a rough draft, and had intent to redo the whole thing, but then I thought if I did that, it may be way sonically superior, knowing what I know now about multitracking and mixing, but then decided it would loose the moment when the songs were conceived, and what took place when they actually became completed songs...so how do you handle this? Do I need permission from everyone involved before releasing them? I for sure want to give credit where credit is due, and have no intent for taking credit for something someone else wrote or conceived. Also, since a lot of the multitracks don't exist anymore (old computers and DAWs that are long gone), many I only have the 2 track mix downs, as stated earlier, that I have dropped into Logic and enhanced with stuff to make the album more cohesive from song to song...I don't want it to just sit without at least giving folks a chance to hear it, for better or worse. Any direction as to how to put this out the right way would be much appreciated. Thanks for the video, and hope all at JamMob are doing great.

You don’t need it . Just put a symbol in there also my cover is very original because I use my original artwork or I use my zepeto game app avatar to do that . I do care about royalty’s , paid and have fun. I’m a self taught original artist that paints I make music too and I edit .my moms friend that’s famous artist painter and he say just put copyright symbol you don’t need to fill out paper and license. But finding a trusted platform to get your music published and it it heard on radio and Spotify with no pay but get paid properly too a lot more that Is not a scam place and not a place to steal your songs then it’s hard. 8:09

I've been with reverbnation for over 10 years and they always paid me every month i didnt have to hound anyone for my money all platforms are good but the 2 platforms that pay promptly is apple music and spotify at leat in my experience

Great video, I’ve released four songs after even putting them on RUclips. I think the question on how to register once music holds up a lot of musicians from sharing their songs with the world. It’s good to know it’s not too late to get them formally registered.

Hi dear thanks I grew up in the states but iam in paris right now french so I copyrighted the song with music start they are affiliated with la Sacem but in order to get to pq Sacem the equivalent of ascap I suppose I need to get a thousand views iam scared to put my new track for instance on tiktok RUclips Instagram I mean I have registered the copyright before but until I get my thousand view I can push with an ad people can steal my music it doesn’t make any sense I feel like my time is running out and need to be heard and at the same time I am scared I fear that I won’t get fully protected and then If I put my track on cd baby they don’t collect royalties mechanical or others but I might not have my P r o what would you recommend I do thanks if you have a minute

The amount of times I have reached out asking for permission with zero responses is and will be borderline infinite so what's the point in continuing this practice? Not to mention on most occasions it being very difficult to even know who to reach out to.
